Organ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rowan County, North Carolina, USA

Notes:
1515 Organ Church Road
Salisbury, North Carolina

The church is four miles south of Faith. It became known as Organ Church after 1774, when John Stirewalt, a member of the congregation, built an organ for it.

The present and oldest structure, called the Old Historic Church, dates from 1795 except for a higher roof and a steeple added between 1886-1894. A new church building was built 1958-1960.

Organ is sometimes called the Mother Church of Lutheranism in North Carolina. It is said to be the oldest Lutheran congregation in Rowan County.
