Lindsay Cemetery, Guilford County, North Carolina, USA

The Lindsay Cemetery lies N.W. of Sandy Ridge Road (No. 1850), 3.0 mi. south of I-40 at Colfax. A point 0.2 mi. S.W. of the junction of Johnson Street Extension (No. 1818) a rough farm road leads across a wooded ravine about 100 yards to a cultivated field; turn left and follow the tree line about 75 yards to a wooded promontory sheltering the cemetery. One unmarked headstone and five legible carved stones are found. The old Lindsay home stood 0.3 mi. west of the Johnson Street junction, where a marker commemorates the first county seat of Guilford at the home of Robert Lindsay. (Recorded 1976)
